I'm Kimi :) Your average eighteen year old residing in sunny UK who loves doing her nails after finally breaking the horrible habit of biting them.
I am by no means a professional, I'm strictly amateur, but I enjoy all the nail art I do :) I really do hope this blog is an inspiration to all you nail-biters out there - this is proof! The habit can indeed be broken :D
It’s taken me the whole of summer to get round to doing it but (finally!) here it is!
The shop will feature water marbled jewelry using duochrome and holographic colours.
Check it out and let me know what you think!

Kenyan inspired mani part 2 - Safari
From pinky to thumb: Thomson gazelle, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, leopard.
Say hello to the mysterious right hand - will probably not be showcasing another photo of it for some time!
Inspired by the vibrant, rich culture of the Maasai warriors in Kenya. I was there recently so just had to do a Kenyan-inspired mani!
No7 - So Simple
Barry M - Gold Foil
This was my first time trying out No7 nail polish. The formula was great, non-streaky and mostly opaque in three coats (except for my middle finger where you can unfortunately see some VNL!). What I love most about this brand is the brush. The tip is rounded and makes application extremely efficient. Definitely something I’m considering doing for the rest of my polishes - hopefully it won’t lead to a gooey polish-y mess!
Now, I’m not a huge fan of the monarchy myself but because there’s a Diamond Jubilee dress up theme going on at work over the long weekend I thought some jubilee themed fingertips would be appropriate.
Exams are all over so I am baaaaaaaackk!
Do you prefer gold or silver plated?
These last few weeks have been incredibly busy.
Two week trip to India over Easter for a wedding (another one!) and being in the lead up to exams has meant that I’ve had less time to focus on my blog.
Not to mention the parents’ bugging.
So I’m sorry guys but there won’t be any nail art from me until my exams are over at the end of May.
Hopefully, I’ll see you all then!
Happy painting and to anyone else sitting exams in the near future, best of luck!
Aw thank you! The fire was actually quite easy to create; I used nailside’s flame tutorial. I painted the mockingjay on a ziploc bag and then transferred that onto my nail as a sticker, definitely a method I’d recommend for any difficult/intricate designs! I’m pretty rubbish at tutorials so I hope that helps at least!
