I'm Kimi :) Your average eighteen year old residing in sunny UK who loves doing her nails after finally breaking the horrible habit of biting them.

I am by no means a professional, I'm strictly amateur, but I enjoy all the nail art I do :) I really do hope this blog is an inspiration to all you nail-biters out there - this is proof! The habit can indeed be broken :D

Boots 17 Magnetic Lacquer in ‘Blue’. This was my first time trying a magnetic effect lacquer and with the 3 for 2 offer with Boots, along with my staff discount, I really couldn’t resist snapping up a few! The magnetic effect was not quite as prominent as I had expected but still looks nice. I held the magnet over each nail for about a minute but some designs formed faster than others. I think having a wider nail bed is a real advantage as the design took about 5 seconds to appear on both of my thumbs yet is almost non-existent on my pinky fingers. Will be trying this out in ‘Green’ next so hopefully mastering the magnetic technique just takes a bit of practice! I also wonder whether the China Glaze magnets would work with this polish as the magnets provided with Boots 17 magnetics only have one design.
